Since I’ve been asked “who is she?”, here’s the original picture. I swear this girl is Rihanna.

I love this movie too. It’s so awesome and cute.
I was so happy when I first saw the title (“Yeahhhh a French title!!!”)
It’s a patriotic thing. Love to talk about my country.
And I love ratatouille for real (the food). 🙂
Thanks for sharing and being such a cutie!

Not an expert in portraits but the most important to me is always the look in the eyes. You got it.
March 29, 2012 at 8:52 pm
Thank you so much, Nuno 🙂
I agree with you. But what I love the most in portraits is that every tiny detail is important.
March 28, 2012 at 10:40 pm
Good work again Cha.
Silly question, but why didn’t you add the shoulder? I love your portraits. 🙂
March 29, 2012 at 8:58 pm
Thank you, Hanneke! 🙂
It was like an unconscious decision. I just wanted to highlight her face so I stopped when it was finished. It’s like the shoulder is not necessary (to me and in this painting of course… poor Riri!) lol
I don’t know if that makes sense.
March 29, 2012 at 9:31 pm
Thanks Cha 🙂 . It makes perfect sense and I think you’re right (just trying to see what you see). I make those decisions about what to add and what not often too. This portrait is very good, sparkling.
March 29, 2012 at 9:33 pm
Thanks again. You’re so sweet!!
March 29, 2012 at 12:16 am
Well I like yours better than the original Cha 🙂 😉

It’s the best compliment I could get! 🙂 🙂
Encore merci! Hope you’ve had a very sweet Thursday too!!

I don’t know who she is, but you’ve captured her very very well. You’re so good at faces, which I think is the hardest thing to draw or paint.
March 29, 2012 at 9:03 pm
Painting faces is my favorite thing ever. It’s so interesting. You see lots of little details just because you’re working on it.
And I’m sure you’ve already heard her songs or seen her on tv. Maybe the Wombies have.
March 29, 2012 at 3:32 am
oh my gosh, I think you’re right, that does look like Rihanna! Your painting is absolutely amazing!!! Definitely my favorite you’ve done so far. Teach me how to draw and paint faces this realistic, please.
March 29, 2012 at 9:06 pm
Thank you, thank you, thank you, Terri!!!
Wow your favorite?
Now I’m glad I posted it!
I’ll teach you only if you teach me how to make those incredible bags (and tableclothes). 😀
March 29, 2012 at 5:10 am
You made her look splendid! I don’t like the way she change the color of her hair, I prefer her with black and shiny …. and she has few good songs …
March 29, 2012 at 9:30 pm
Thank you very much, Blaga!
Well, I think red really suited her too. But poor hair… too many different colors in such a short time.
Love the latest single “Talk that Talk” with Jay-Z.
March 29, 2012 at 3:16 pm
A beautiful work of art Cha and when I first looked, I thought it was Rihanna.
Ohhh now I’m relieved, Tom! Thank you so much 🙂
Hope you’re doing great!! Thanks again.
