Hi! Aloha! Bonjour!

Justin Young’s new album, Makai, is finally out (since June 4)!

I’m a big fan of Colbie Caillat – and I have been from the very beginning – and Justin, who was her lead guitarist and backup singer until last year, is an incredibly talented artist. Just fell in love with his songs and his voice.

Listening to Makai is like visiting Hawaii, which is awesome… Yes, one of my biggest dreams is to go there as some of you know. This record is just PERFECT. I love ALL the songs but my favorite is definitely Open Wounds. And also Until Tomorrow… And also Break It Down… and also… ahah Yes, they’re all great!! For all the John Mayer fans out here, listen to Open Wounds, you’ll thank me.

The original pic is a black and white photo but I wanted to add warmth and color to match the spirit of the album.

Back with a watercolor!!

I’ve been working with oil pastels for about 4 months and I have to say, watercolor is way easier for me because I don’t need to spend that much time on a painting. It’s so quick!

ACM Awards 2013 – Song of the Year

I started this one when Miranda and Blake’s “Over You” won this year’s ACM award for Song of the Year. I was and still am very happy for them because this song means A LOT to me and I think to a lot of people too.

They sang it together last week on the Voice. It was a beautiful tribute to Oklahoma tornado victims.

Hey guys! Last year I made a quick watercolor portrait of Ross Geller. I called it “Unagi” for quite obvious reasons. Remember? It was a very rough watercolor. Didn’t like it that much… So I decided a few days ago to make an oil pastel version and change the background.

My friend Cat Forsley made this fabulous video for me. Since she’s a talented musician, she created this instrumental as well… Looks like it’s really easy for her. That’s TALENT, right?
